Ballet, Tap, & Tumbling Combination Dance Lessons for Toddlers & Preschoolers are some of our favorite weekly classes at The Dance Element!

 Boys & Girls learn new Ballet steps in every weekly dance class along with the French terminology to accompany each movement. 

The Dance Element's preschool dance students learn WHAT their new Ballet steps are called and WHY, from the very first class!

Understanding French terminology helps young students better grasp the Ballet steps and Dance Technique.

Our 3, 4, & 5 year-old students enjoy learning a second language while learning to dance, and they are always eager to share their new steps and vocabulary after class.    

At some point in most weekly dance classes, preschool students will transition from learning Ballet to working on 
Tap or Tumbling techniques. 

Tap Dance for Preschool Children begins with lessons about Music & Rhythm.

The Dance Element's Ballet, Tap, & Tumbling Classes for preschoolers also include  an introduction to Acrobatics!

These unique exercises enhance motor skills and improve balance and coordination,  while helping toddlers develop good posture 
and building strong, healthy bodies.


At the culmination of our season, Preschool Ballet & Dance Students take the stage to perform in our spectacular annual showcases, and they always steal the show!

The Dance Element offers a unique Summer Dance Program that provides a perfect opportunity to 
try dance for the first time or keep skills sharp, and experience the positive atmosphere at our Wilmington NC dance studio, without conflicting with summer travel plans for families!
