A native of Southern California with a foundation in Performing Arts and Musical Theatre, Chantay Allen discovered the benefits of the Classical Pilates Method in 2005.

After spending years developing breath control through singing and projecting her voice, while building strength and balance through performing modern, jazz, and ballet choreography on stage, Chantay made a smooth transition to the similar deep breathing technique and kinesthetic awareness of the Pilates discipline.  Chantay is a Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist™️ and  has continued her education with an emphasis on the gentle Pilates methods of injury prevention, strengthening the core, improving balance, and increasing flexibility.  
She learned about the Pilates Reformer and other equipment used in the full-apparatus program while attending local Pilates and Group Fitness classes near Wrightsville Beach and completed her certification as a  Mat Pilates Instructor  in 2015. 

She adheres to the Classical Pilates Method which was introduced in the 1920s. This approach combines precise body movements that strengthen and lengthen muscles with controlled breathing techniques to provide excellent conditioning for dancers and countless benefits for people of all ages and levels of fitness.
