    Emily Lawler was awarded a very generous merit scholarship to attend the year-round program at the world-renowned Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, for the 2017-2018 season.

    Emily Lawler teaches Ballet, Hip, Hop, & Dance Classes for Kids in Wilmington NC Emily has been a dancer all her life!

    She began pre-professional ballet training at The Dance Element in 2011, and has become proficient in many styles of dance including:

    Ballet & Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern Dance, & Acrobatics


    • Emily was offered the opportunity to train on scholarships at several prestigious ballet schools including the Atlanta Ballet School, the South Carolina Dance Conservatory, Summer Dance Company, and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, as well as Joffrey Ballet’s international programs in Italy and Russia. 
    • At The Dance Element, Emily grew to become a Senior Member of
      the Element Productions Dance Performance Company.

      She performed a number of leading roles in The Dance Element's stage productions including:

    • While she was a student at
      The Dance Element, Emily worked alongside Director,       Ashley Barnes for a number of years assisting with ballet & tumbling dance classes for children ages 2 - 5.

      Emily Lawler is a talented dancer, and a positive role model for younger student

      She officially joined our inspiring staff in 2015, and quickly became one of our studio's most desired and most adored dance teachers.

      Emily is a gifted instructor with a natural ability to motivate dancers,
      as well as a       stunning
      dance performance artist.
